You may set a password on your pages so it's a little harder for other people to find them.
Page passwords have limited protection - they are stored in a readable format (which allows us to build URLs with them), and are included in the URL, so anyone who gets a URL to your page with the password saved can distribute said password to others.
1. Open the Password Form
Inside the page editor, there is a new form inside the "Settings" at the top. Visit your page, and click "Settings" in the top-right to expand the section.
2. Check the "Password Protection" checkbox
You can enable or disable password protection at any time. Changes will occur after you click "Update Password" and then publish the page.
3. Enter a Password
Enter a password into "Page Password" - it will need to be between 2 and 6 characters, only supporting letters and numbers. (Passwords are case sensitive.)
4. Select a Default Password Format
You will be able to use any of the following formats to include your password in the URL, but we require you to select one that we will use as the default URL for the page.
In Path
[Option will only show up on category pages that have been configured with the category in the path, not as a subdomain.]
This will generate URLs with the URL tacked on to the category name, e.g.
https://flyyns.pnouns.fyi/at/school+ig2/
?password= or ?p=
You can always include the page password with either ?password or ?p:
https://flyyns.pnouns.fyi/at/school/?password=ig2 https://flyyns.school.pnouns.fyi/?p=ig2
5. Update Password
Make sure you click the "Update Password" button after making any changes to the password settings.
6. Publish the Page
The password setting will be applied the next time you publish your page - when you are ready, click "Publish" in the top-right corner.
